Springfield Armory 1911
It was advised by John M. Browning, and was the standard-issue side projection for the United States armed troops from 1911 to 1985, and is still carried by some U.S. forces. It was widely given to http://www.gunslot.com/guns/springfield-armory-1911 in World War I, Macrocosm War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
However, by the late 1970s the M1911A1 was acknowledged to be showing its age. Under political theory pressure from NATO to conform to the NATO-standard pistol cartridge, the US Atmosphere Force's Joint Service Small Arms Program was drop to select a new semi-automatic thirty-eight using the NATO-standard 9 mm Parabellum pistol cartridge (a cartridge that had been previously tested by the US Cavalry in 1903 and found wanting). After trials, the Beretta 92S-1 was chosen.
